contractions at 29 weeks.

I have been having bad lower abdominal pain for 2 days but really didn't think anything of it. Well yesterday it was getting unbearable so I called my Dr and they sent me to the hospital. I was there for 8 hours and was having contractions the entire time. My cervix is small and soft and she said it was closed anterior. Anyways they gave me 3 shots to stop the contractions and pills to take at home. They also gave me the betamethasone shot just to be safe so the baby's lungs will develop faster. I go back today at 6:30pm to get the 2nd dose, I have been crampy all morning so I'm just hoping the contractions start to go away ):

That sounds scary. I hope the meds work & everything turns out ok. Try to rest as much as you can.
