survey during 18th week

Hi I'm in my 18th week and I'm scheduled for a survey this Thursday at my hospital for the third part of the down syndrome and other fetal testing. This might be a dumb question but is the survey an ultrasound? Thank you!

It should be a 45 min or so ultrasound where they'll look at everything and make sure the baby is developing properly. I get mine done on valentines day when i'll be 20 weeks. Can't wait ultrasounds are so facinating to me

Ok thank you! I can't wait to see my baby again! I just wasn't sure if it was an ultrasound and if I should have my boyfriend take off work to come with me. He hasn't been to an ultrasound so were very excited!
