Call your OB about you being sick. Ask them what you should do. Their number one concern is the baby, ER doc's #1 concern is you. Also ask OB about VQ scan. That can check for clots and it is not radiation. Seriously do not go back to the ER until you call your OB.May 2011-
DreaMariaI was just stopping by to see if there were any updates and I read your post. I had a VQ scan done and it is radiation, both inhaled and through and IV. I had to sign a consent that I understood the risks of radiation to the baby. With a VQ Scan the patient becomes radioactive vs in a CT Scan where the actual machine omits the radiation...just didn't want her to get the wrong impressipn about the scan. The docs said it was still markedly less radiation than with a CT Scan.
Anyway, any updates?! :/ -
