  • I feel ya. I had morning sickness from 6 wks til about 24 wks. Then, last week I had a couple days of nausea and threw up once. I was nauseated yesterday too. I'm 31 wks.
  • Wednesday my OB told me to call if I have more than 6 contractions in an hour. I told her that I didn't think I'd know if I was having contractions because my tummy stays so tight all the time (I'm a FTM)--the staff laughed. Then, sure enough, I d…
  • I'm 30 wks pregnant according to my LMP. I had an US today which estimated baby at 29 wks. Doctor wasn't concerned since umbilical cord flow was good & amniotic fluid level was normal. She also said the femur measured small which means she ju…
  • My insurance only covers up to 3 unless more are medically necessary and my OB/GYN typically only performs 2 (one around 10-11 wks, and one around 20 wks). I'm getting a total of 4 due to placenta previa.
  • Talk with your doctor. They might prescribe you a suppository to try, or they might tell you that you can do an enema at home.
  • Good question. I should probably b able to answer, but I have preggo brain & just can't compute right now.
  • I agree with @ashleyfew. U have been exposed to ur husband's bacteria since u 2 started being intimate. The ob/gyn gets exposed to tons of stuff every day that can b harmful to u because u may never have been exposed before. She's just being cons…
  • Same here! My hubby has always had a calming effect on small children. I'm 27 wks and my hubby has only felt the baby 2 or 3 times because she stops every time he puts his hand on my tummy.

  • Low placenta isn't much of a concern at this point. There is time for it to move. You would probably be put on bedrest if you had any bleeding. I had complete previa at 12 wks. I passed a small clot so I was put on pelvic rest, no lifting allowe…
  • One thing anyone can use is salt water rinses for throat and nose. You can either mix it up on your own or buy some at a pharmacy over-the-counter. Gargle it for your throat. Rinse your nose with a bulb syringe.

  • You need to call your doctor. It needs to be treated if it is an infection.

  • I know that my insurance only covers up to 3 unless there r medical reasons for more. My OB usually just does one at 10-11 wks & one @ 20 wks. Docs get a lot of info from ur urine, BP, palpation, & ur weight. Plus doppler confirms baby has …
  • My mom was 36 when she had me; my dad was 35. I am 31 & pregnant with my first. My Hubby is 54 & this is his first. We didn't "prevent" for nearly 2 yrs when it finally happened. Our motto was it'll either happen or it won't. …
  • It's not always possible to breastfeed. You do what u need to do to take care of ur little one. Remember that even if u only breastfeed for a few days, that's good for baby. Good luck :-)
  • @mummytuube It doesn't necessarily mean anything is wrong. It may just be that your doctor wants to cover his butt. And some doc's will give lots of US's just because of pressure from their patients.
  • The recommendations for health care are changing all the time so that may be why more ultrasounds where performed in the past. Also, different state medical associations may have different recommendations. Lastly, each doctor has to base their pra…
  • I am 24 wks today and I have been steadily organizing and throwing things away for about a week--totally not my usual self! I never thought nesting would begin so soon but I also have a lot of rubbish to sort through.
  • I agree with @gatorbob about a growth spurt probably being normal around 20 wks or so. At my 18 wk appt I was finally back at my pre-pregnancy weight. At my 22 wk appt I'd gained 7 lbs! My doctor told me to eat healthy (I was pretty much doing th…
  • I think the only nasal spray you can use is saline spray-- no medicated sprays. I have allergies year round & had to stop taking my Allegra when I got pregnant. Now I'm taking Zyrtec & saline nasal spray. I was surprised by how much the s…

  • Get 1 with bright, contrasting colors to stimulate retina development
  • I don't know anything about being 35 wks pregnant and what to expect at that point, but if I were you, I'd probably talk the on-call doctor and see what they say.

  • I'm having problems with my left hip. Feels like it's trying to come out of the socket. It's fine all day and only starts to bother me in the middle of the night. The only thing that helps me so far is the Boppy body pillow (huge C-shape); cost m…
  • My insurance only covers up to 3 unless there's complications & my OB/GYN only performs 2 ultrasounds (one at 10 or 11 wks and one at 20 wks).
  • My hubby is clueless too, and he's not even young, I married an older man. I'm 21 wks 5 days and all he knows is that I'm starting to look pregnant and that I still throw up sometimes. Lately he's shown more concern about my lifting heavy things o…
  • I'm 21 wks 5 days and I don't know if it's really hit me yet.
  • 12 wks 1 day means you have completed 12 weeks and you are currently 1 day into your 13th week. When you look things up, look up being 12 weeks pregnant. The beginning and end of trimesters varies a little depending on what book you're looking at …
  • *bump* I don't know anything about this specifically, but I don't think it's anything to be freaked out about. They're covering their bases by giving you the rhogam shot, and if for some reason you needed a blood transfusion they can always give yo…
  • You should call your doctor's office and speak with the nurse. The discharge may be a symptom of an infection.
