mummy2BI'm nowat the 3 week mark and am beyond excited . My family and friends have been so great with everything I appreciate them so much. I go on maternity leave in a few wks as well not looking forward to not working even if its for a short time . Hope everyones pregnancys or births are going wellNovember 2011

mummy2BAs of recently things with myself an baby mackenzie have been going extremly well. Things at work are lovely I'm blessed to have caring understanding and supportive coworkers and management and I'm very happy that's one less thing concerning me I also will b moving in 2 short weeks and cannot wait to start preparing for babys arrival

mummy2BSo ... I recently accepted a job as a supervisor at a linen store. I am very excited and cant wait to start, Seeing as things with my pregnancy are going so well and i barely show when i wear my tomboy clothes. no one apart from my family knows of my pregnancy. I havent told my new job and I am beginning to worry , I plan to work up to the time I have my daughter but would like 4 weeks to stay with her after the birth. I am wondering . Is 4 weeks enough and is this to soon to return to work ? I am also worried my job wont allow me to take that much time off. I know all buisness maternity leave is different just concerened I may not have a job aftewards and thats something that I just cant affordSeptember 2011

laura536How far along are you? Usually FMLA covers 6 to 12 weeks of leave, but sometimes, if you haven't worked there long enough it won't cover it. Also, most doctor's won't discharge you to go back to work until 6 weeks post partum. If you are doing a really good job though, they will most likely hold a job for you, it just may not be the supervisor position. Good luck!
